The University of Houston-Downtown is a public, liberall arts university. Regent Jacob Monty said Flores is the right fit forthe “giang shoes” of outgoing President Max Castillo.
Flores said in a releasde from the University of Houston that a successful presidenr of any university must be a visionary with goodcommunication skills. “A president must be able to work with a wide variethy of constituencies and be successful in building he said.
