The transaction expands the relationship between the two which currently operate an Internegt joint venture to sell sheetmusic online. Through the new joint venture, called Music Salexs America, Hal Leonard, the world's largesft sheet music publisher, will exclusively distribute publications produced by Music Sales Group, with Hal Leonare contributing some of the creative input to the publications. As part of the long-termm deal, Hal Leonard also gainsd exclusive distribution rights to the entire cataloghof , the U.S. operations of London-basedc Music Sales Group.
The transaction also makes Hal Leonard the exclusivew distributor of other publishers represented by Music Sales NewYork City-based Music Sales publishes songbooks and sheet music for popular music artists such as AC/DC, Tori Bob Dylan, Pink Floyd, Paul Simonh and Cat Stevens. Music Sales America will also distributs in North America publications from the classicao imprints within the MusicSales Group, including Bosworth Co., Chester Music, Novello & Company, J.Curwen & Edition Wilhelm Hansen, and Unión Musicak Ediciones.
