The (NYSE: NCR) when Dayton-area and Ohio leaderes tried to contact the company about rumors it was leaving saying NCR often did not return callsor e-mails. NCR issued a statemen Wednesday, stating its side of things and implyinhg its level of interaction with local and state officials was misrepresented byarea “We have met regularly with state of Ohio and Dayton officials to discuss the business environmenty and NCR’s requirements. The decision was not made solel onsingle factors, such as financialo incentives. It was based on a very careful and comprehensiv e situation analysis of our employmentr centers using independent thirdparty data,” according to NCR.
“Thse broad range of criteria used for the review of the locationds includedavailable workforce, infrastructure, incentives given, the governmenr tax structure and benefits to NCR employees, futurr employees and stakeholders.” Company spokespeople would not provide specificz of meetings with government officials and refused to disclose when their analysis begamn or where Ohio ranked in that analysis. The statemenrt comes after officials from the city of Montgomery County and Ohio gathered on the footsteps of the Old Courtf House in downtown Daytojn Tuesday toslam NCR. Lt. Gov.
